Tractor Battery install and testing the Charging System
Overview
This is a hands-on maintenance walkthrough, not a tractor overview: the owner replaces a dead battery on his New Holland TC40D, cleans corroded terminals with a brush tool, rigs a temporary battery hold-down since the replacement lacked mounting flanges, applies corrosion spray, then demonstrates using a low-voltage tester to check resting voltage and confirm the alternator is charging properly. Useful for owners troubleshooting a battery or charging system issue, less so for shoppers evaluating the tractor itself.
