IH Farmall 6 Volt Problems Solved

IH Farmall 6 Volt Problems Solved

𝕏f

Overview

This is a hands-on electrical diagnostic for six-volt Farmall 6 tractors, not a walkaround. Tom explains why slow-cranking or dead starters usually trace to undersized cables, corroded connections, or worn switches rather than the battery itself, then physically replaces cables, crimps and heat-shrinks terminals, and cleans/tests a light switch with a multimeter. Useful for owners troubleshooting six-volt starting issues who want real wiring detail rather than a case-for-12-volt-conversion argument.

Posted by the Ledgemere Heritage Farm channel, run by an owner (Tom) who prefers keeping old tractors original and shares practical, hands-on repair experience.
